The first phase of board exams is starting from 16th and 17th November this month. 12th board exams 16th and 10th board exams will start from 17th November. The board has also changed the pattern of examinations this time. The board has changed its policies and under this now board exams are being conducted twice for the evaluation of students across the country. The second phase of the board exams will be held in March-April next year. The board has also changed the pattern of examinations.
According to CBSE, this time 20 minutes reading time will be given to the students of the board examination. Earlier this time was 15 minutes. The first stage board examinations will have Multiple Choice Objective Questions (MCQs). Their duration is 90 minutes. Four options will be given to answer each question in the examination. Students can choose their correct option from these and circle against the given option. However, if the student does not wish to answer a question, he/she will still be required to score a circle. For this, one more option will be given to leave the question blank, which will be filled by the students.
According to the famous educationist PS Kandpal, this arrangement has been done in many other examinations as well. Actually, all the answer sheets will be scanned so no answer can be left blank. The option to leave blank will also have to be filled by the students in a circle. According to Deepti Sharma, a class X student, it is good that the exams are being conducted in two phases. Syllabus has also been reduced due to 50- 50 percent distribution. At the same time, there is also curiosity about the new method of the new examination. According to Umang Agarwal, a class 12 student living in Delhi, this method of board examinations is completely new for all the students, so there are many types of dilemma in the mind. But don’t be afraid about these exams.
According to another student Sanchita Dixit, the pattern of examinations has been explained to the students. The way of answering has also been told, after that now only a new type of exam is waiting to appear. According to the CBSE board, the internal assessment of 20 marks of class 10th has also been divided into ten marks each. Whereas for class 12th it is divided into two parts of 15 marks each. The board has worked on additional internal assessment and practical based curriculum. There has been a change in the policy after the board exams were not held due to Corona for the last two years. This time the students have also been provided with the opportunity to take the board exams in the city of their choice. In fact, thousands of students have been displaced due to Corona. Many of these students are still living at their native place while their school is at a different location. In such a situation, these students will be able to take the examinations in their nearest school.
Special arrangements have also been made so that the student does not get corona infected during the examination. According to CBSE, the corona protocol will be strictly followed in all the examination centers. A maximum of 350 students can take the exam in a single centre.
