Digital Desk, New Delhi. The Union Education Ministry is opening a new avenue for the partnership of India and America in the field of education. Through this, India and America will cooperate with each other in the field of research. Two-way mobility of students and teachers will be decided between the two countries. Along with this, educational institutions of both the countries will partner with each other. This partnership between India and the US is specifically aimed at linking industry-focused education and higher education between the two countries. A roundtable on advancing the India-US education partnership facilitated by Indian embassies and consulates has been held.
The Round Table Conference was presided over by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Principals and Chancellors of prestigious universities of India and America were also present during this time. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that India and the US share strong ties in the education sector. There is immense potential to deepen this cooperation and build knowledge-based partnerships, particularly in connecting industry, academia and policy makers in our countries. The Education Minister said that India’s National Education Policy 2020 has opened new avenues for India and the US to work together, mutually beneficial partnerships in research, two-way mobility of students and faculty, collaboration of US and Indian institutions, etc. . The US is India’s natural ally in building a new age knowledge partnership.
The Education Minister said it was heartening to see the great enthusiasm and optimism among US universities in taking advantage of opportunities, partnering and working together in India’s education landscape. There will be a one-point linkage with AICTE India to take the discussions forward and facilitate academic collaboration. The Union Education Minister said that I thank all the academicians who attended the Round Table Conference and look forward to achieving the joint educational aspirations of our two great countries.
AICTE is also working on a portal which will have all the information about the higher education institutions, course details, eligibility and other requirements. It will also be for the benefit of foreign students, faculty or institutions. Individuals who wish to study, teach or collaborate in Indian institutions will be able to access information from it.
