Digital Desk, New Delhi. CBSE 12th board minor subjects exam has started from 16th November. On Tuesday, the examinations of class 12 entrepreneurship and beauty and wellness subjects were taken. The exam started at 11.30 am and ended at 1:30 pm. At the same time, the examination of minor subjects for class 10th will start from Wednesday, November 17.
These CBSE board exams are being conducted in offline mode only. ORM sheets are being used in these exams. According to CBSE, this time 20 minutes reading time has been given to the students of the board examination. Multiple Choice Objective Questions (MCQs) are being asked in the first phase of board examinations that have started. While issuing a notice to all the schools and examination centers, CBSE has clarified that it is mandatory to strictly follow the corona protocol in every examination center. During the examination held on Tuesday and also in other examinations, all the students, teachers and other staff were instructed to apply face masks. Students were asked to reach the examination centers one hour before the examination.
Four options were given for each question in the examination held on Tuesday. The students had to choose the correct option out of these and circle against the given option. If the student does not want to answer a question, it will be necessary to score a circle for that also. The option of not answering is also being given. Rakhi Aggarwal, a class 12 student, said that it is more convenient for the students to conduct examinations in two phases by CBSE than before. Apart from conducting the exam in two phases, the CBSE board has also divided the entire year’s syllabus into two halves of 50-50 percentile. The exams for the first part syllabus are being conducted now. On the other hand, the examinations for the remaining 50% syllabus will be conducted in March-April next year.
Another student of class XII, Ankit Shukla, says that it is better for the students to take the examinations in two parts and divide the first phase examinations into minor and major subjects. By doing this the students have got more time for their preparation. Harshita Arora, principal of a private school in West Delhi, said that at present, the examination of only minor subjects has started. The examinations of main subjects like Mathematics, English Science, Social Science, Hindi, Commerce, Science etc. will be taken from December 1. Subjects like professional, side subjects and physical activity etc. have been included in the minor subjects. Special arrangements have also been made so that the student does not get corona infected during the examination. According to CBSE, the corona protocol will be strictly followed in all the examination centers. A maximum of 350 students can take the exam in a single centre. A distance of six feet will be maintained between the students. Every student and teacher present in the examination center will have to compulsorily wear a mask.
According to the date sheet released by CBSE for the first phase of board exams of class 10th and 12th, the minor exams are starting from November 16 and 17. Whereas, the class XII board examination of major subjects will start from December 1 and will end on December 22. The first exam for class XII students is Sociology and the last exam is Home Science. These examinations will be held from 11:30 am to 1 pm. The first phase of board examinations of class X major subjects will start from November 30 and these examinations will end on December 11. For class X, the first exam will be of Social Science and the last exam will be of English.
